dusty 3

In this portrait, Jolene and I have created a 3 generation portrait of the "Dusty's". We were very thankful to do this portrait as there was not an Enid athlete from the 60's to now that was not coached in one way or another by the Senior Dusty. Although I did not know him well, I can't imagine that he would not be very, very proud of his son and grandson.
Thanks again for this opportunity.

the strecks

Sometimes, one is not enough. In that case, many of our clients choose the "Artist Collage". After each image is color corrected and cropped, Jolene retouches each portrait and then floats them on top of a softened image, creating an incredible family story to display on your wall.
Isn't this a great looking family to do this with?

The video says it all!

Wendy,
Thanks for stopping by yesterday to tell me how much you love the portraits.
You and your family are absolutely stellar!

You're never too old to get your picture taken with your mommy! :-)

kesten

The influences in my early photography were the great fashion photographers of the 1960's, and I definitely see their guidance in this portrait, simple, clean and understated. Kesten just being himself carries this off perfectly.

the harrisons

Check out the warm glow from inside the house, I believe it echo's the inner glow of my clients!
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

the brooks family

After the Brooks family left the studio from this session, my next client commented that his children never cried when they had to leave the photographer and his studio.
I cannot think of a better compliment to us or to the Brookses!

daniel

We started planning this senior portrait of Daniel in the spring of 2007 when we photographed him at his church with his Eagle Scout project. The car, the season, the location, the clothing all came together with a great expression on Daniel to create a one of a kind portrait!

harmon children

What a pair of good looking, high fashion children. The old location really sets a contrast for this portrait and creates a very uptown look.

cody

Cody, thanks for giving us everything you had for the portraits. It really shows!

the russell family

This is....
a great family,
a great location,
with great lighting,
and a great pose,
combined with great expressions,
to make up,
a great portrait!

karley

Many times, as we photograph a child, a story will unfold, a story that needs to be told with more than one portrait. So our framed "Composite" will come to the rescue as it did in this case.
Miss Karley always has a lot of energy as well as a sweet disposition, and we are continually blessed to be around her and her family.

jamee

Jamee gets the award so far this year for traveling the furthest for their senior portrait. She is from the Dallas metro area, and let her grandmother choose us to capture this special moment in her life. WOW! We are truly grateful and honored.

tomi

One of the coolest things about photographing High School Seniors is the different opportunities that we get to choose from, and this portrait of Tomi is a great example. It's not what "we are about" in photographing senior students, it's what "they are about". Every photographer will tell you that they really photograph who the subject is, but without getting to know them, how can that happen? Back in the 80's when we did not do a "Design Consultation", we never created portraits of this magnitude, but now, it seems that we get to see who people really are all the time. To Tomi and her mother, we say "Thank You" for this.

katie

A glamorous portrait for a glamorous young lady.

eileen & family

For Eileen's 39th birthday, she decided to get her children and their families together for a portrait. What a fun and energetic group. We were thrilled to be a part of her special time.

the hartwig brothers

3 brothers.....
all unique....
but, I see some similarity, not only in looks....
but in spirit also.
Do you?

matt

What kind of final portrait would you do for a son that, plays baseball, hunts, has a great smile, a good sense of fashion, and is just good looking?
This could be an option.
It was Matt's family's decision.

shade & titan

Our clients are always amazed at how well animals do for us. Well, I think they know the effort that is put forth by our clients, and once again, even they know how much they are loved.
It turned out picture perfect!

the barneses

At some point in this little ones life, she will look at this portrait and realize how much her parents loved her, even before she was born. We are always moved to be a part of a families life at this point.

the roncks

A family portrait is a family portrait even when you can't see everyone!
This is our current Christmas card, Jolene designs a new one each year so each is different, our look, not taken from a "template" that looks like every one else. Your family is unique, so your card should also be unique.
We are running a special on the cards this year, the same price as wallet sized portraits. Call us, we know you will love the results!

the regiers

Once again, Bob Dylan was right, "the times they are a changin".
From generations of wheat farmers, there are now corn farmers getting on board, and the dad here was one of the first in our part of Oklahoma.
And speaking of Oklahoma, Rogers and Hammerstein may turn out correct with our state song, "the corn is as high as an elephants eye".

ywca "woman of the year"

Our congratulations to Louise for being selected as the YWCA's "Woman of the Year, 2008-2009".
For the past 17 years, it has been our pleasure to create a gallery for the YWCA in the "Virginia Groendyke" room. We even backed up to 1972 and created portraits of the past selections as well.
Louise's volunteer work in our community speaks for itself, and we are proud to be a part of a city that she has helped to mold.
"Be Inspired", and find a cause throw yourself into like she has.

karen

Karen is also another of our "E-TOWN" magazine "fab 10" clients.
She is one of our favorite people since we began photographing her children in 1996 (also her daughter Alicia is the owner of B Hip Kids, one of the best children's stores in the nation).
We are looking forward to a great spread on these women in the December issue of E-TOWN.

emma

Are you beginning to think we photograph a lot of babies?
Well, we do!
Also we photograph a lot of families for several generations.
Little Emma is the 3rd generation we have photographed in her father's family.
This is quite an honor, and we are very, very thankful to them for this opportunity.

3 month old portraits are great!

2 things...

Check out our portrait on Stephanie's billboard at the corner of VanBuren and Thompson (pretty cool) and

Check out the clothing at the "S Boutique" in the Heritage Hills Shopping Center (very, very cool)!

cynthia

Lately I have been using the profile view for many of my portraits. It seems like people have really liked this classic angle in their portrait. In fact, this was Cynthia's favorite.
As one of our E-Town "Fab Ten", we were looking for something different, and I think we came up with it here. Also the sepia was a wonderful way to go.

tori

Congratulations Tori on being one of St. Mary's "Nurses of the Year".
We hope everyone is as pleased with your portrait as we are ... a beautiful location with a beautiful youg lady!

Most of you will recognize Stacy as one of E-Town Magazine's "Fab 10" contestants. We have really enjoyed getting to know these women and look forward to showing you some more great images in the future. Keep up the good work Stacy!

brady & haylee

Many of our clients, with all the options we can give them, still tell me they really want our close-up portraits of their children..."just show us their eyes and smile, we'll be happy".
Over and over through the past 33 years they are.
Thank for making this style so recognizable as the "Wess Gray" style!

jennifer

When we went out to do Jennifer's senior portrait, I spotted these two little bits of color, and through some creative posing and lighting, they sure made a big impact on the portrait. Sometimes a little bit can go a long way.

trevor & regan

40 years from now, I can't imagine that this will not be Regan's most treasured possession. We are always grateful to be a part of our clients past, present, and future!

haylee

For over 30 years we have been taking "urban" portraits around town, each time finding new locations and backgrounds so our portraits do not look alike or copy another studio.
With Haylee, our intent was to show off her beautiful eyes and smile...with a new location to add to, not take away or compete with the wonderful expression she has.

josiah

One year old children are great to photograph, and Josiah was no exception. Just look at those eyes and his smile. If his grandparents don't think he is perfect, "I need to have a good talking to them." :-)

at home with the rogerses

In the previous issue of "E-Town", there is an article with our photographs of the incredible home of Bob and Leilani. If you haven't seen that issue, do what ever it takes to find a copy, this home is awesome and reflects the personality of it's owners as well as it can be done.

ashley & jake

The last time I photographed Ashley and Jake was for their senior portraits, and at the time they were dating. Now they are engaged to be married. Here is their engagement portrait. What wonderful smiles (and a pretty cool ring too). We wish them the very best!

Chelsea

Usually when I thank someone on my blog, it is for being a wonderful client.
In this case, that is true, we had a great time with her portrait (as well as her family portrait that I posted on a while ago), but also I thank her for her service to our country. It is duty above and beyond, and we are in debt to you.

the youngest youngs

Best wishes and congratulations to Jennifer and Toby on their marriage this year. Just by looking at your portrait, everyone can tell of the love and happiness that is in your life together as a family. And to Kaleb, thanks for being fun to photograph (as well as becoming a pretzel)!
