dusty 3
In this portrait, Jolene and I have created a 3 generation portrait of the "Dusty's". We were very thankful to do this portrait as there was not an Enid athlete from the 60's to now that was not coached in one way or another by the Senior Dusty. Although I did not know him well, I can't imagine that he would not be very, very proud of his son and grandson.
Thanks again for this opportunity.

the strecks
Sometimes, one is not enough. In that case, many of our clients choose the "Artist Collage". After each image is color corrected and cropped, Jolene retouches each portrait and then floats them on top of a softened image, creating an incredible family story to display on your wall.
Isn't this a great looking family to do this with?

karley
Many times, as we photograph a child, a story will unfold, a story that needs to be told with more than one portrait. So our framed "Composite" will come to the rescue as it did in this case.
Miss Karley always has a lot of energy as well as a sweet disposition, and we are continually blessed to be around her and her family.

tomi
One of the coolest things about photographing High School Seniors is the different opportunities that we get to choose from, and this portrait of Tomi is a great example. It's not what "we are about" in photographing senior students, it's what "they are about". Every photographer will tell you that they really photograph who the subject is, but without getting to know them, how can that happen? Back in the 80's when we did not do a "Design Consultation", we never created portraits of this magnitude, but now, it seems that we get to see who people really are all the time. To Tomi and her mother, we say "Thank You" for this.

the roncks
A family portrait is a family portrait even when you can't see everyone!
This is our current Christmas card, Jolene designs a new one each year so each is different, our look, not taken from a "template" that looks like every one else. Your family is unique, so your card should also be unique.
We are running a special on the cards this year, the same price as wallet sized portraits. Call us, we know you will love the results!
the regiers
Once again, Bob Dylan was right, "the times they are a changin".
From generations of wheat farmers, there are now corn farmers getting on board, and the dad here was one of the first in our part of Oklahoma.
And speaking of Oklahoma, Rogers and Hammerstein may turn out correct with our state song, "the corn is as high as an elephants eye".

ywca "woman of the year"
Our congratulations to Louise for being selected as the YWCA's "Woman of the Year, 2008-2009".
For the past 17 years, it has been our pleasure to create a gallery for the YWCA in the "Virginia Groendyke" room. We even backed up to 1972 and created portraits of the past selections as well.
Louise's volunteer work in our community speaks for itself, and we are proud to be a part of a city that she has helped to mold.
"Be Inspired", and find a cause throw yourself into like she has.

Karen is also another of our "E-TOWN" magazine "fab 10" clients.
She is one of our favorite people since we began photographing her children in 1996 (also her daughter Alicia is the owner of B Hip Kids, one of the best children's stores in the nation).
We are looking forward to a great spread on these women in the December issue of E-TOWN.

Lately I have been using the profile view for many of my portraits. It seems like people have really liked this classic angle in their portrait. In fact, this was Cynthia's favorite.
As one of our E-Town "Fab Ten", we were looking for something different, and I think we came up with it here. Also the sepia was a wonderful way to go.

Many of our clients, with all the options we can give them, still tell me they really want our close-up portraits of their children..."just show us their eyes and smile, we'll be happy".
Over and over through the past 33 years they are.
Thank for making this style so recognizable as the "Wess Gray" style!

For over 30 years we have been taking "urban" portraits around town, each time finding new locations and backgrounds so our portraits do not look alike or copy another studio.
With Haylee, our intent was to show off her beautiful eyes and smile...with a new location to add to, not take away or compete with the wonderful expression she has.

Usually when I thank someone on my blog, it is for being a wonderful client.
In this case, that is true, we had a great time with her portrait (as well as her family portrait that I posted on a while ago), but also I thank her for her service to our country. It is duty above and beyond, and we are in debt to you.
