the rings

One of the things we get to do is to photograph some of my favorite people I have known through the years....and this family is one of those. Mom and dad are two of the happiest and most positive people I have been around, and I am very thankful to have photographed their family this summer.
As some of you probably know, they have also done some glass work for us lately, so if you are in need of that service, don't hesitate to call "Oklahoma Glass and Wallpaper".

the mitchells

A family get together (whether they are for an anniversary, as in this case, or a reunion) makes a great occasion for a portrait. All we need is a date and someone to help plan the wardrobe.
To that special person in this portrait, we say "Thank You".

dr. lawrence

Dr. Lawrence,
Thanks for selecting Enid for your new "primary care" practice. I know you and your family will love Enid.
Also, for those who are new to Enid and need a new doctor, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lawrence.

rippe family

For our avid followers, you probably recognize the beautiful young lady in this family portrait from our blog on her senior portraits a couple of months ago.
Laura tells us that for 18 years she felt that she was not a part of the family because only her brothers were in the "Wess Gray" family portrait hanging in the living room. On the way up to Wichita, I was thinking how fun it would be to do the same portrait pose, but to just add her next to her mother and put her out in front of her now grown up brothers, posing everyone else like we did in the original portrait.
I hope she now feels a part of the family!

thanks a million

Our Open House was a huge success - thanks to the efforts of everyone involved. Steve Harris and his crew from Western Sizzlin', Donna's Catering, The E-Town Rhythm Kings, Ed and Catherine Costello of Costello's Continental Cuisine, Bonnie Vculek from ETown Magazine and our parents and children made this a great day for Wess and I. We can't thank you enough!

christian

A portrait that is taken on location should always be believable. What would make a portrait location believable? If you have read our blog for a while, you would guess that the location "would help to tell the story". In the past, some of my clients have asked for locations that really had nothing to do with who they were. Sometimes it works (if the location is neutral, or just plain pretty) but most of the times, my clients were not as happy as they thought they would be.
The happiest are those like Christian and his family. This portrait was take 100 yards from their home in the hay bales his dad had just moved that morning...so as you can see, this is very believable.
To my clients, thanks for letting us do "believable" portraits!
